Short Stories

Here is a selection of the short stories I have written over the past twenty years. Seasons of Satisfaction and Discontent was written when we were on the verge of leaving Africa, seemingly for good. It was published in New Writing Scotland No.4 and was inspired by all the emotions I felt on leaving Africa. Bull’s Hit requires some tolerance from the reader as it is written with a steady beat that takes getting used to.

Into the Eyes of a Cat was written while I was going through divorce. The cat’s eyes are a symbol of my struggle at that time. You’ll be glad to know that this is now in the past.
